For several weeks, I have tried to remember when most everyone you came in contact with cared for this Country. There was an aura of faith, patriotism and
all-around love for this great Country. I have always felt this pride that my Father served this Country in WWII in a way some would not call to heroic, but quite
necessary for survival. He was one of the Navy's best cooks for 13 years. His stories about ship life and how the smell of onions cooking would bring the sailors
to the mess hall smiling. I created visions of men thinking of home and how just the smell of onions could ease their nerves. My Father never said a negative thing
about the military and thanked God he was able to serve his Country. Years later, my Brothers would follow in the Navy and fulfill their duty as Americans. We
now have men and women who are sacrificing their lives in the name of freedom, both in Iraq and Afganistan. These sacrifices are being overlooked by many
Americans. All of the ideals we have shed blood and sacrificed for are being picked apart daily by our Government. What I see happening on a daily basis in
Washington is nothing more than a slap in the face to those who are willing to die for America and all it's people, not just Republicans and Conservatives. This
sacrifice includes Democrats and Liberals, no matter how demeaning they are. We are facing Socialism under President Obama. For all the men and women killed
in wars, you would wonder how we have come to this. The answers are overwhelming. For every Flag waving American, there's a liberal Democrat trying to get
their Flag removed from their yard, their office, even when the President speaks. Every institution we have nutured and lived by is being attacked to remove God,
the Pledge of Allegiance, and extract our moral fiber, so that we will accept that which is unspoken in acceptable society. I am not a prude, but there are some dicussions
and subjects that should be talked about behind closed doors. How can we trust a political party and a President who thinks nothing of murdering a baby at a time
if delivered could survive. We must get our Country back. It's good to progress, but unacceptable at the expense of our freedom to speak, freedom to own guns, and freedom to live. What will be do as a society when the White House tells us how to live, where to shop, what to buy and where to buy it, how much electricity we
can use, and what healthcare we can receive. I'm scared, so don't call me an extremist or a mobster. Just call me an American.
